Setup & Care

Place the fountain on a solid, level surface with a wall, fence or hedge behind it. Its flat back is designed for placement against a backdrop rather than as a freestanding centerpiece. Fill the basin and make sure the fountain is level before turning it on; an uneven surface can cause the sheet flow to run more heavily down one side.

The 1.5-gallon basin should be checked regularly, particularly during hot weather. Because water travels across two large surfaces, evaporation may occur more quickly than with a small bubbler fountain.

Wind can also push the sheet flow away from the fountain. For exposed outdoor areas, position it where a wall or landscaping provides some protection from strong wind.

Keep the ribbed surfaces clean so water can flow evenly. In hard-water areas, wipe away mineral deposits before they build up in the fine horizontal grooves. Clean the pump intake if the flow begins running unevenly.

Before freezing weather, completely drain the basin and channels, disconnect and store the pump, and allow the fountain to dry.

For safer placement, route the electrical cord along the base of the wall rather than across a walking area. Do not allow children or pets to climb on the fountain. Recirculating water is not intended for drinking.
